Our Values, when we determine them and we’re clear on what they mean to us, can be powerful guidelines for everything we do.
They can become our personalised formula for HOW we (and our team) operate in any situation.
When we activate our Values in everything we do – others learn that we operate in a consistent, ethical way and that we are reliable. So, by activating our Values in everything we do, we earn trust and respect.
I don’t know about you, but I want to earn trust and respect from all of my stakeholders, (or as I like to call them energyholders).
I don’t want to be a fad or a commodity. I want what I do, to mean something, stand for something and have others emotionally invested in my business for the long term.
I want to know that all of my energyholders – customers, team members, suppliers, partners and collaborators (for example) – trust and respect what I do. I want to know that they will not only be strong advocates for me, but they will stick by me and support my business through good times and bad.
To earn trust and respect through consistent, ethical behaviour, takes time – so guess what? If you haven’t already, it’s time to get started.
